***rainy day sewing***
and these are what I have finished.......a slouchy beach bag that is reversible....it is quite large and will hold a towel, book and creams quite easily....I made it from fabric that I bought ages ago at the hospice shop....it is rather handy cos it looks like patchwork without having to do all the sewing of patchwork....the inside is more warm orange colours and quite good for a hot sunny day, of which we are lacking at this time...still, will not be brought down by that cos it shall come soon enough....hope you have a sunny day whatever the weather....

also finished this full length apron that I tried to make in a 50's style...I love polka dot fabric at the best of times and using it for the trimming set of my other favourite ... a floral print....have added some fabric roses to the front band too so all in all I think it worked quite well.....so when I have finished at my imaginary beach I will go do some imaginary cooking in my new apron......actually I have all intentions a making a prawn and salmon mornay topped with cheesy mash potato....don't tell Michelle cos she will come round straight away and hope for an invite....suppose I can't begrudge my 25 year old baby girl now can I ....
hope you have a happy day.....
toodleoooooo......
2 of your thoughts.....:
I love the bag and apron! The bag's colors are so cheerful and bright, you're right it makes me want to go to the beach. With a promise of snow tomorrow I guess it'll be a few months before the beach is calling my name. I'm happy to see that you pulled out those crafty ideas and got your creative juices flowing again!
You're a really talented seamstress. The bag is beautiful and the apron is definitely something that I could do with to stop me getting constantly food-splattered when I do cook (I have an apron, I just forget to put it on *sigh*!)!
Have a wonderful time at your imaginary beach and enjoy the weekend!
