***small mercies***

computers have a mind of their own....I am convinced of that now.....no matter how we like to think we are in control, give computers an inch and they take the lot....and that is what happened on Sunday....hubby said he was going to de-fragment the hard disc whilst we were out.....I thought mmmmm .....should I back up my photos as the last time I did it was in May....however, we were in a hurry as we had to meet the girls for lunch and as they say 'sods law' it was the very time that all my photos and artwork stored since May has been deleted....eaten.... caput....I mean who would have thought that having two folders....one inside the other with the same file name would give a machine the go ahead to delete the inside folder....with EVERYTHING in it.......well I had to admit to being rather tearful.....slightly stressed and downright bloody angry.....

for a moment I thought that the files had just been moved but the more we searched the more realisation dawned loud and clear that a machine had, once again taken control.....so once again....I must learn to back up my work more frequently.....

on the plus side the wedding photos were backed so I guess I should be grateful for small mercies......
the Thai lunch was, of course delicious..........

somehow that didn't help very much.....

toodleoooooo..........

Oh how annoying! I have heard that there is a program that can somehow conjure lost photos up....worth asking around maybe. The Thai lunch looks delicious but maybe you needed it AFTER the computer had done its nasty deed to help to console you.
Wonderful catty photos on your last post and I really liked the "socks" photo on the one before.
Hope you work that nasty computer out. They can be helpful but boy are they downright annoying at times.
Happy Days to you Mandi, Angela.

Oh no! I would die if my photos disappeared into cyberspace.

The Thai lunch looks great. I *love* Thai food.
