***the day after***
outside the front door are my home grown hanging baskets with my favoutite surfinas (petunias) these smell lovely in the late evening....

the church bar-b-que and all is over for another year.....each year we do the same thing...a day to set up, a day to shop and cook, a day to eat and enjoy the company and a day to pack all away again....so we are completly stuffed....I was going to take loads of photos but with running around like a blue a......d fly I never had a chance as it was I was still washing dishes and the floor at ten o'clock last night....some of the girls helped out but after feeding nearly 60 people, and this was a quiet year, it still takes time. The setting looked great ....bunting, gazebos, brollies, rugs, croquet, three tressle tables with all sorts of rice , pasta, salads, bread, basil toms, new spuds, etc....you get the picture..very pleasant....soooooooooo I will have to just put up a couple of photos of our little cottage instead...and then I will try to get some sewing done...ha ha!
Have also put four loads of washing out...mainly teatowels aprons and tableclothes ....very boring...till soon....
a corner of our kitchen....brought the table from Oz and the meat safe and Brian made the plate dresser shelf from an old pine wardrobe that was too big and heavy to cart everywhere.....30's bread bin ws £1.00 from L'Hospeeeece ...some china came from Oz as well...

some glasses from Oz and L'Hospeeece.......well you never can have enough lol....
this lot is the back up supply....

Hi, Mandi.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment today!
I've enjoyed reading your posts and looking at your photos. I love your plates, cups, and glasses! How pretty! And the petunias are gorgeous! They are some of my favorite flowers.
I'll visit again soon!
Lindy :)
Hello Mandi!
I am sooo in love with your hanging baskets. I am always going on about how beautiful the ones I see in the UK (on English programs) are. We get nothing like them here.
I want to try and make some up this spring and summer, so if you could kindly let me know what plants/basket etc. to use and any tips, I would really be very grateful! ( can never get my petunias to cascade like this!!!)
Your kitchen and all your chinaware and glasses are so wonderful...I'd love to pop over for a visit for a chat and a cuppa, and admire it all!
Thanks for sharing.
p.s the bbq sounded fab.
