I had forgotten how much this CD and DVD mean to me.....the musicianship is absolutely fantastic and so very inspiring....the CD is great for the listening aspect but the DVD is a must as you see all the artists and many parts of the world where the filming of the recordings were done...I reckon if you love music and something different give this a try you won't be disappointed....the DVD also has personal viewpoints from people like...

Each track explores a theme such as the masks we wear and the perils of forgetting we're wearing them....Death and change.... Preachers and Teachers.....Methods in the Madness......God , Unity and Diversity.... etc....etc...

the routes taken were through Senegal....Ghana...South africa.....Uganda...Kenya...Bombay....New Dehli....Calcutta.....Darjeeling...South East Asia.....Australia... New Zealand....San Fransisco....L.A... New York and London....so you can imagine the diversity of music put together....with some musicians never setting eyes on one another...one recording done in Kenya then someone else listening on headphones and improvising his own thing on top....truly astounding and wonderful.....

sometimes listening to things that others do and make and bring to the fore.... it sometimes helps bring my own life into perspective...and nothing seems quite so bad afterwards...for awhile anyway.....I need reminding all the time and a nudge in the right direction helps but I always need that nudge
