***frayed around the edges***
with trying to finish the edges of this patchwork coverlet....which is taking forever....I thought that cutting the squares took a long time and sewing wasn't too bad but trying to get the fringe done is a nightmare...I should have chosen another woollen fabric which would have frayed easier however in my wisdom I chose the pinkie grey and that is proving to be tricky....the fibres want to remain closely bonded...to remain forever as one....but they are my friends in for a shock...cos I will not be beaten...I will get it done and eventually produce a sweet little cover made from all wool squares which will be cosy and warm for something or another....if you can come up with any sure fire fringing method please HELP....

Hi mandi,
This is sooo pretty! I can tell how soft it is just by your photo and I just LOVE the color choices you've made!

I can't really help with the fraying issue (as I seem to recall it is just down to the fabrics as to how easy they are to fray), but the whole thing is looking amazing. You'll be as snug as a bug... under a blanket?! hehe. I can't wait to see the whole thing laid out when it's finished!
Its brilliant - I just use a sewing needle and start to ease a few rows of thread then pull!
