***another rainy thursday***

hi all...not a bad morning...went gardening for my lady and managed to do four hours before it teemed down...did just over two hours strimming and boy do my elbows ache...trimmed bed edges and generaly cleared up...rescued a mama blackbird that was caught in my work shed...don't know why they (birds) insist on going in there...could be the nice fat black spiders lurking in the window corners...In fact I should start a B&B program for those spiders...they got it made....a nice warm safe enviroment (well most of the time) food on tap (web) ....and the flys are so dumb they just kamakazi all the time...and a keeper who hasn't got the heart to shift them there spiders...ummmm...bet they wouldn't be so forgiving to me if i weighed a milligram and was only 1/4 inch tall......

how about this for colour

looking out from our front door

I wanted to show you this amazing dalia I grew...well it grew itself...I just plonked it in the ground...it measures 9 INCHES across from petal to petal...and that is official according to my tape measure.....It also stands about 4 ft 6 inches tall so I think it great...

My 9 inch baby

toodleoooooooooooooo..............till soon

oh my gosh ~ that Dahlia is a beauty! I love their blooms and this is a stunner. Beautiful colour too.
Those Hydrangeas (pardon the spelling), are gorgeous as well...I love a cottage garden.
Thanks for sharing :-)

What gorgeous photos! Thanks for sharing them.

I have no talent at gardens and tend to kill off any plant I touch.

Look at those gorgeous flowers! I'm sorry that it took me so long to find your comment on my blog, I just recently set it up to email me with new comments, so I didn't realize that you had left one! I love the U.K., though I've only ever been to England. I definitely plan on visiting the other countries, too. Too bad our climates are so different, because I could really use some tips on gardening.
