Well what a beautiful hot and sunny day....got up early this morning to help a mate take a load of donated stuff to the boot fair to raise money for the street kids in Mongolia...a lot have no parents and they survive by living in the heat shafts under the city and eat from the volunteer run soup kitchen that my mate helps at....She has spent the last six months out there and is due back soon...
Needless to say I did not return empy handed either...I bought some books after allowing myself time out for a wander....I have a weakness for books especially older ones...I found three from 1859 which were 'conducted' by Charles Dickens whatever that means...and they well smell old and musty....plus a few other odds and ends...
I love the ladies one showing how 'one does one's hair and something about a girl should have braids....the fabric kind....It is a kind of ladies house keeping book from the Forties... I haven't checked out the date yet....
And anyway I wanted to try my hand at this new photo thingy and see if it works...

Hi Mandi, I love old books too...though i've never been lucky enough to find any as old these beauties that you were lucky enough to find. The pictures you are posting a really fab, please keep it up.
What a great thing your friend is doing for those unfortunate kids, and also your contribution...it all help.
