***more rain an' windy waves***
which are great fun to watch so long as one is warm and safe indoors I suppose......we went for a little drive after being indoors all day....the rain was really lashing down here as as it was around the UK but for here one doesn't normally get it this much....there was a 39ft tide and with the surge the sea was mounting....these photos at Greve d'Lecque were taken around 5.30 in the evening and tho they don't seem much here is cos this little bay was somewhat sheltered being on the west coast....most of the wind was hitting the south and I for one was not going to bother battling the traffic of those trying to get home....all buses stopped work and 6.15 and people had to find alternative transport...typical here though....big panic over not a lot really....sure the waves are big and the sea was over the wall in town but hey does it mean the island comes to a full stop.....

many moons ago after one of these big storms had passed and the rocks beneath the beach had been exposed a Bronze Age Jade Axe Head was found wedged in the rocks....very exciting for everyone but am not sure what happened to it....I don't think it went to the museum though....
mmmmm......see you later I am off to do some rummaging in the sand...
toodleooooo.....
